New style pages and the return of top charts on Legitmix

Since our homepage renovation awhile back fans have been asking for the return of the Legitmix chart, which showcased the top releases on Legitmix. We're more than happy to comply with the debut of our new "style pages," which feature charts for each of the following production styles:

Edits - Manipulating an original song without adding new sonic elements. Edits include changes to a song for length or tempo (BPM).

Remixes - Adding new sonic elements (instruments, sounds) to an original song.  The new sonic elements can be sampled from other original songs.

Mash-Ups- Blending and overlaying two or more original songs to create a new song.

Sample-based beats- Creating an instrumental beat by sampling one or more original songs.

Cheers- Songs remixed for cheerleading routines.

DJ sets- Blending several original songs for continuous playback. A DJ set can also use contain releases available on Legitmix.

Style pages join our genre pages as another great way to discover new producers on Legitmix. They can be sorted by "popularity" (a combination of sales and listens) or by latest released.  You can also use the "sampled artist" column on the left-hand side of the page to find releases in that style featuring your favorite artist. Of course, if you're looking or something even more specific you can always give our new advanced search page a try.
